The Wonder Years: The Greatest Generation 10th Anniversary

The National (Richmond, VA)
09/13/23

Staple pop-punk band The Wonder Years celebrated the 10-year anniversary of their iconic album, The Greatest Generation, by bringing their headlining tour to Richmond, Virginia for a packed show at The National. The Greatest Generation was released on Hopeless Records in May of 2013. To support them on this North American tour, the band brought along pop-punk band Action/Adventure, emo band Sweet Pill, and punk band Anxious.

The Wonder Years performed The Greatest Generation from beginning to end, in order, giving the crowd the ability to experience the album in its entirety, as well as to hear songs that the band doesn’t regularly perform. Following the full album performance, the band performed a handful of fan favorites from their other albums, including “Low Tide” from their 2022 album, The Hum Goes on Forever, and their newest single, “GODDAMNITALL” released in May of this year. The Wonder Years has been a staple to the pop-punk and rock music scene for well over a decade, and with their loving fanbase and creativity in their music, we hope they’ll be sticking around for a while longer.
