The Front Bottoms: You Are Who You Hang Out With

Folk-punk band The Front Bottoms brought their “You Are Who You Hang Out With” tour to Tempe, Arizona. The Front Bottoms is a band that will never get old. They’ve been steadily amassing a dedicated fanbase since their inception in 2006, and 17 years since, they’re pulling in new fans by the bucketload. Their recent show at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona had the venue packed to the brim with fresh-faced high schoolers and grizzled music veterans alike.
The crowd brimmed with energy and excitement all through the opening act, a punk band called Slothrust, and actually seemed to explode as The Front Bottoms took the stage. The band launched right into “Emotional,” the leading track off their new album You Are Who You Hang Out With. Highlights from the packed show included their performances of “Ginger” and “The Plan (Fuck Jobs)” as well as the new album’s lead single, “Outlook.” The night concluded with their iconic fan favorite “Twin Size Mattress.” The future looks bright for The Front Bottoms, and the tour continues this year with a few dates in the U.K. Be sure to keep up with the band now while they continue touring their new album!
