The Driver Era: Summer 2024

The Wiltern (Los Angeles, CA)
08/29/2024

On August 29th, pop band The Driver Era played a sold-out show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, California leading up to their international tour. The alternative-rock duo is made up of brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch, who were previously in the band R5. Hours before the doors opened, fans began to line up around the block, wanting to enter quickly to be as close as possible to the stage inside the venue. Fans of all ages dressed up for the occasion, with several wearing cowboy hats adorned with gems, glitter, and feathers. Based on the level of excitement from the fans, it is clear that many have been supporting the duo since their Disney days.

Bass queen Blu Detiger opened the show, pumping up the crowd for the night ahead. The Driver Era opened their set with an unreleased song called “Touch,” followed by “You Keep Me Up At Night” and “Take Me Away.” The crowd was very energetic, jumping up and down and singing along to each song throughout the show. Unlike other concerts, confetti was released in the first half of the show. This was not the big finale, as the duo kept giving the show their absolute all. The Driver Era also performed big hits such as “Preacher Man” and “Afterglow” before ending the night with “A Kiss.”
