Rock band Switchfoot celebrated the 20-year anniversary of their album, The Beautiful Letdown, with a headlining tour to the United States. Hitting many smaller cities along with bigger cities, a countless number of fans were able to experience the band performing a beloved album in its entirety.
The National in Richmond, Virginia was packed full of fans excited to see a Switchfoot show – little did they know, they were going to be in the Switchfoot show. Lead singer Jon Foreman spent more time in the crowd than he did on stage. The chaos started at just the second song, “This Is Your Life,” when Jon stepped down to visit the front row, and eventually climbed over the barricade to sing in the crowd. Throughout the set, he spent multiple songs in the balcony of the theater, taking song requests, and jumping to the front row to have a moment with fans. The show was so special for everyone in attendance, it was clear that everyone in the crowd was feeling the emotional songs.
