Indie rock artist Snail Mail performed in Richmond, Virginia, on beautiful Browns Island on the second to last night of the “Valentine” tour. Richmond always shows up for Snail Mail, as both the first and second legs of the “Valentine” tour came to the city. With the sun setting and the cool spring weather, Snail Mail created a lively and beautiful summer night.
The night started off with Richmond-based rock band Dazy opening the show, followed by alternative-pop band Water From Your Eyes. Lindsey Jordan, the vocalist behind the name Snail Mail, always seems to perform alongside artists with differing, unique genres, introducing her large crowds to some of her own favorite music. Lindsey started her set off strong with fan favorite “Heat Wave” from her 2018 debut full-length album, Lush. The crowd jumped and sang along with each other throughout the entire set.
It seems like every year is Snail Mail’s year, but 2023 has so far consisted of performing at both weekends of Coachella and a headlining tour – all leading up to various festivals across the globe to fill out the rest of the year. Be sure to keep an eye out for what’s next for Snail Mail!
