Brooklyn Steel (Brooklyn, NY)

Samia performed in Brooklyn, New York at the iconic Brooklyn Steel to a packed, sold-out crowd of hometown fans as part of her winter tour supporting the release of her new album, Honey.

Wormy, the side project of her bandmate and drummer, Noah Rauchwerk, kicked off the show with an energetic folk-rock set including performances of the songs “Big Mountain” and, with an early welcome to the stage for Samia, “Hungry Ghost,” which she features on. Local New Jersey musician Little Hag also joined him onstage for a song together. Following those two was a stunning set from Tommy Lefroy, a soft-rock indie duo from London, before Samia took the stage.

Samia opened her set with a stunning solo performance of lead single “Kill Her Freak Out” before the full band joined in for an energetic performance of “Fit N Full.” Whether dancing onstage to upbeat pop songs or a dramatically lit silhouette serenading them with an emotional ballad, Samia had the entire crowd in the palm of her hand. She later brought out actress and friend Olivia Nikkanen to sing with her for “As You Are” from her 2021 E.P., Scout. During the encore, Samia brought out members of her side project, Peach Fuzz, to sing their song, “I Saw The Moon,” together.

Other highlights of the set included a stunning and emotional performance of “Breathing Song,” which left very few dry eyes amongst the crowd, an energetic performance of her song, “Mad At Me,” and the captivating “Amelia.” She closed the set out with “Show Up” – a tribute to her fans and friends as well as a love song about music and performing itself.

Samia will continue touring throughout the United States through April, and her latest album, Honey, is available now on all streaming platforms.
