ODESZA: The Last Goodbye Finale

The Gorge (George, WA)
07/05/24

To close out ODESZA’s “The Last Goodbye” era, the Washington-native duo put on three nights at the iconic Gorge Amphitheater over the 4th of July weekend. Welcoming in showgoers, mirrored art installations named “ECHOES” were placed along the walkways of the amphitheater entrance to encapsulate the era of “The Last Goodbye” that featured sound bites from fans’ voicemails about what TLG meant to them.

If you have seen ODESZA live before, you’ll know that it’s not just another EDM show. Every performance is better than the last with stunning light design combined with special effects, a drumline, live instruments, and vocals from special guests. This show was no different, opening with a strings prelude of “This Version of You,” then moving into full introduction of the ODESZA drumline and horns playing “Behind the Sun,” as the sun was literally setting in the distance. The duo kept the energy up from beginning to end, having showgoers stick to the very end, at the edge of their (lawn) seats cheering for more. Truly a weekend to remember.
