NOAHFINNCE: Spring 2023

Teragram Ballroom (Los Angeles, CA)
04/26/23

On April 26th, Noah Adams, known professionally as NOAHFINNCE, played at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, CA as part of his 2023 United States tour. The line to enter the venue wrapped around the block, containing fans of all ages. Two fans walked down the line and passed out pink pieces of paper cut in the shape of a worm. On the worm, the words “you’re wonderful” were printed in dark marker. Fans in line were told to hold them up during Noah’s performance of his song, “WORMS (In My Brain.)”

The 23-year-old British YouTuber, singer-songwriter, and instrumentalist started his career in 2015 on the online platform. As his popularity began to grow, he switched to more vlog-style videos. In 2017, he came out as transgender on the platform and started documenting his experiences with his transition as well. After releasing his first original song, “Asthma Attack,” in 2018, Noah has been posting a wider range of content, including discussing LGBTQ+ topics and releasing his original music.

Before Noah’s performance, the audience was treated to sets by Action Adventure and Bears in Trees, the latter featuring a special appearance by Noah during “No Point Pretending (A Song for Tour.)” Most of the audience was dressed in dark colors, including several parents who had obviously accompanied their children to the event. Some fans even had transgender pride flags draped across their backs for the entirety of the show. Noah’s setlist featured songs from 2021 E.P. STUFF FROM MY BRAIN, 2022 E.P. MY BRAIN AFTER THERAPY, as well as fan favorites such as “LALALA” and “Underachiever.”

Throughout the show, Noah cracked jokes, like, “Raise your hand if you’re gay,” and, “Scream if you’re in therapy!” Each time, he was met with a very responsive crowd. He also made a point of talking about the state of transgender rights in the U.S., adding that there was a donation bin at the merch table that would be donated to a local organization dedicated to protecting transgender youth. During his song, “WORMS,” he got a little emotional as the entire crowd held up the pink paper worms that were handed out as fans entered the venue. Noah closed out his set with an encore, including a stripped down version of his first single, “Asthma Attack,” and “STUPID.”

NOAHFINNCE is set to open for Enter: Shikari’s upcoming U.K. arena tour early next year.
