On a Saturday night in November, Milky Chance brought their “Tour Again” tour to Hamburg, Germany. The German duo walked onto the stage silhouetted in golden light and fog, welcomed by many cheers from the crowd. Opening the set was “Synchronize,” a hit off of their latest album, Trip Tape II, which was echoed back by fans.
Something notable about Milky Chance and their tours is that they frequently partner with non-profit organizations. The Hamburg show happened to fall on World Toilet Day, so the show was partnered with Goldeimer and Viva con Agua to donate a portion of ticket sales to provide water and toilets to underdeveloped areas. The band even had toilets on stage to sit on while they played their acoustic songs! The band is making great use of having such a large platform to educate fans and make a difference.
Aside from being environmentally conscious, Milky Chance is comprised of phenomenal live performers. Each song has a special flair when played live that adds a level of intimacy to the show. The band promised a new album coming sometime next year and played three new songs, which they described as that unforgettable “typical Milky Chance sound.” This is definitely something to look forward to after the end of the 2022 tour.
