On February 15th, all-female rock band Meet Me @ The Altar brought their “Say It To My Face” Tour to the Regent Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California. After opening for superstar bands MUNA and 5 Seconds of Summer, the rock trio has gained momentum and popularity, dominating the genre and providing much needed female representation.
The night got off to a roaring start with three openers, John Harvie, Elliot Lee, and Honey Revenge. Once Meet Me @ the Altar took the stage, the crowd went crazy. In the middle of their set, each band member chose a song that they wished they had written for a medley. Much to the fans’ delight, this consisted of “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson, “Take Me Away” by Christina Vidal, made popular by the film Freaky Friday, and “Burnin’ Up” by the Jonas Brothers. They also played several of their hits off their debut album, including “T.M.I.” and “A Few Tomorrows,” before closing the night with “Say It (To My Face).”
