Love Rising

Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee was full of love, bittersweet joy, and tenderness this past Monday. Tennessee’s laws against the LGBTQIA+ community have had a treacherous year, with anti drag bills and new marriage laws attacking our loved ones. To raise awareness, a beautiful team of people led by Allison Russell and more put together a stunning bill of LGBTQIA+ artists and supportive allies with the funds raised through tickets donating to OUT Memphis, Inclusion Tennessee, TN Pride Chamber, and the Tennessee Equality Project. This show was so beautifully put together with performances from everyone’s favorite artists such as Brittany Howard, Julien Baker, Hayley Williams, and Yola – just to highlight a few.

The night started with a gorgeous introduction from an array of out of this world artists. Up first was Jake Wesley Rogers in a sparkly suit of your dreams. Up next, Joy Oladokun, Yola, Sheryl Crow, Hozier, Izzy Heltai, Autumn Nicholas, and so many more incredible artists shared their talents and support to the queer community. The immense amount of support was so heartwarming and needed.
