Life is Beautiful is a 3-day music festival held smack in the middle of downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. This year, they celebrated their 10-year anniversary with a packed setlist encompassing some of the most popular acts in modern music, from indie-pop Rina Sawayama to Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar.
The festival grounds encompassed multiple blocks in downtown Las Vegas, commandeering local businesses and turning everyday buildings into fresh and exciting art installations. Visitors to the festival were greeted with a 15-foot-tall fire-breathing praying mantis, a parking garage converted into a massive silent disco, and loving words plastered over every wall. Unwary selfie-takers could get photobombed by the Blue Man Group, which roamed the festival like a pack of rabid blue wolves hungry for performance art.
Standout acts included Vegas natives The Killers, British indie-rock band The 1975 (who promised the crowd, “No bits, just hits!”), American R&B legend Khalid, and Bellingham, WA-based electronic duo Odesza.
