R&B singer Kelela performed in some of the largest cities in the U.S., along with Toronto, Canada and London, England, in support of her newest full-length album, Raven. Released just a month prior, Kelela took the stage in New York City’s Webster Hall for a highly anticipated performance.
Kelela performed the majority of Raven, starting out with the dreamland that is “Washed Away.” The songs that followed allowed the attendees to dance and sing along with Kelela, creating a beautiful community within the venue. The front row consisted of fans that must have been waiting in line for hours as the line was wrapped around the venue right before showtime, and they were putting on a show themselves, enjoying the show and feeling the music.
Kelela came back out on stage for an encore consisting of “All the Way Down” from her 2015 album, Hallucinogen, and the crowd couldn’t get enough. Be sure to catch Kelela on her select tour dates this year!
