Rising hip-hop artist Kanii performed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as part of his “it was nice knowing u” tour. Fans were lined up outside the venue hours before the show in anticipation. Kanii had an amazing set with tons of crowd work, at one point even bringing four fans onto the stage to see who was the best dancer. He performed songs like “Go,” “I Know,” and even songs from a new super-group he’s formed alongside Riovaz and Nimstar called The Heart Racers.
Kanii originally started gaining traction on TikTok 2 years ago when he was just 16 years old; it’s been really amazing watching him grow to be able to go on his own solo tour. TikTok has become such a powerful platform for artists to gain exposure and reach a wider audience. Kanii’s catchy lyrics and danceable songs really resonated with TikTok users, and it played a big role in his rise. It seemed to be a new genre of music mixing electronic, house, jersey club, and rap all into one.
Overall, the concert was an unforgettable experience. Kanii’s talent, energy, and connection with the audience made the concert a really fun environment to be in. Kanii is already making a name for himself at such a young age and it will be interesting to see how he continues to grow.
