Hardcore band Jesus Piece performed to a sold-out crowd in Richmond, Virginia as direct support for Show Me The Body’s World War Tour. The lineup on the tour is an absolute dream, with fellow hardcore bands Scowl and Zulu alongside the two, and hip hop artist TRiPPJONES opening the show. To make it even better, the show in Richmond was the first show of the tour!
The crowd was captivated by the first song, “Curse of the Serpent” from their 2018 debut album, Only Self. Those familiar to hardcore shows weren’t surprised by the behavior of the crowd, though I could see some attendees being surprised by the openers’ sets, as the headliner is significantly more tame than Jesus Piece. The crowd did not stop moving the entire show, jumping on and off stage throughout, the energy not depleting even a little as the show went on. Vocalist Aaron Heard even brought Anaiah Lei from Zulu onstage at points throughout the show to perform with the band.
Right now, Jesus Piece is performing to sold out crowds in cities across North America. Be sure to catch them if they are in your city, and keep an eye on them to get tickets before the shows sell out!
