On April 4th, rising U.K. artist Dylan brought her “Rebel Child” tour to the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The breakout artist is fresh off her release of “The Alibi,” the more vulnerable, synth follow up single to “Rebel Child.” Throughout her career, she has shared the stage with some of music’s biggest names including Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae, Gayle, and Yungblud to name a few. We caught Dylan opening for Gayle last year at this venue and knew we needed to see her again when her headlining show was announced.
Mercer Henderson kicked off the night and helped set the mood for the evening. Once Dylan took to the stage and the lights dimmed, fans at the barricade began to shout with excitement. Dylan played fifteen songs for the crowd, revealing in the middle of the show that her debut album is on the way. Her hits “Liar Liar” featuring Bastille, “No Romeo,” and “You’re Not Harry Styles” were all on the setlist, with the night ending on an energetic note with “Nothing Lasts Forever.”
