DIIV and Horse Jumper of Love: frog in boiling water

Shoegaze band DIIV brought their “frog in boiling water” tour to Richmond, Virginia for a dreamy evening at The National. Slacker-rock band Horse Jumper of Love performed as direct support for DIIV, performing mostly new songs from their 5th full-length album Disaster Trick, released August 16th on Run For Cover Records. DIIV’s set began with an infomercial style video of a man introducing the band. Unlike other bands, DIIV doesn’t talk too much in between each song, creating an immersive experience in the venue. DIIV made use of every inch of the big stage at The National, the three-piece scattered in between spotlights, covered by fog. DIIV’s dreamy alt-shoegaze album, frog in boiling water, is out now.
