On April 13th, Daniel Caesar brought his Never Enough Tour to Toronto’s History, delivering a powerful set filled with intricate visuals, smooth vocals, and notable guests. After a packed meet and greet at Sonic Boom, one of Toronto’s many record stores, it was evident that Caesar was thrilled to be back in his home country.
As soon as Caesar graced the stage, he performed numerous tracks from his latest album, NEVER ENOUGH, with a beaming smile as he looked out at his Canadian fans. During “Toronto 2014,” Caesar introduced Mustafa, a friend and fellow vocalist on the track. Fans screamed and shouted every lyric as the two vibed with the music and sang along.
Caesar effortlessly flowed through each song on the setlist, continuously moving around the stage and interacting with fans. For the encore, Caesar picked up his acoustic guitar and invited Charlotte Day Wilson onstage to perform “Transform,” a collaboration from his 2017 album, Freudian. Of course, a Daniel Caesar concert wouldn’t be complete without a moving performance of “Best Part” with fans swaying along and singing each lyric. Finally, Caesar closed the show with “Get You,” frequently pointing the microphone toward the audience and hyping up the crowd.
